To make our gold hand we started with a hand casting kit, which can be found online or in art stores. The alternative to this is buying alginate (which is the material used to make the mold), and plaster of Paris (what you fill in the mold with) separately. 

Beach towels can sometimes be bulky to hold so our first diy is this amazingly practical towel strap. We’re going to be using upcycled belts for the bulk of this so we headed to the thrift store and picked up 3 belts.

Kelsey and I were invited to the launch of the new YouTube Space in Toronto! Even more exciting was the opportunity to film the very first video there! Obviously we were thinking along the lines of a DIY and the space had this amazing bar set that really had us inspired.

When I was asked to help make travel themed bridesmaids favours for a friend’s wedding, these immediately came to mind! These simple sea shell candles are extremely budget friendly and give a beachy vibe to any space.

This has got to be one of my proudest DIY’s that we’ve made on The Sorry Girls. There are things that we make that we know the outcome, and this guy, well we had no clue how it would turn out.
