Running A Small Business

In the early days, our channel was focused around small craft projects we could achieve from our dorm, like Halloween costumes and knitting tutorials. It quickly turned into a way bigger production with many construction based projects! It was definitely overwhelming at first!

In order to stay successful, our team grew alongside our projects! We started using QuickBooks in 2017 and haven’t looked back since. The payroll services make it super easy to keep track of employee payments, making sure everyone is getting them on time and with ease.

During larger scale construction projects, like renovating and making over a variety of spaces, there is a lot to keep track of and stay on top of. For example, in our series Upgrade My Stay we completely upgrade rental spaces, which takes a lot of planning and teamwork, but totally pays off in the end. QuickBooks helps our immediate team, but it also allows us to invoice clients, send reminder emails, and work on the go at these sites with the mobile app

With all the projects that we have on the go, we needed an external accountant, and we find that this is a HUGE benefit for us. QuickBooks helps import bank and credit card statements directly from our bank accounts, accounts receivable and payable reports.

Without QuickBooks, we wouldn’t know where to start in terms of our accounting and organization on the site.
