This week we are back doing another super fun dollar store challenge! But this time, it’s wedding themed. Let’s get to the dollar store!

BECKY’S BACKDROP

Materials:

  • Tomato cage/trestle

  • Faux flowers

  • Faux eucalyptus

  • Copper wire

  • Fishing wire

Total cost: $11

Tools:

  • Wire cutters

At the dollar store, Becky picked up a tomato cage, some faux flowers, and faux eucalyptus. To make this backdrop, start by using wire cutters to cut the circular portions of the cage away from itself.

Now that you have your three rings, go ahead and attach them to one another in the arrangement of your choice! We used copper wire to bind them together. Once bound, go ahead and spray paint the entire thing with a gold paint.

Once dry, go ahead and arrange your flowers and eucalyptus however you’d like around the rings, again using the copper wire as needed.

As a final step, we grabbed a small piece of scrap wood and painted “Mr and Mrs” onto it! We then went ahead and attached some fishing wire to the back, and attached it to the center of our wall decor! To hang it up, you can add some additional fishing wire to the sides!

And that’s it! I would have TOTALLY had this at my wedding.

KELSEY’S SEATING CHART

Materials:

  • Square mirrors

  • Faux eucalyptus

  • MDF

Total cost: $15

Tools:

  • Circular saw

  • Construction adhesive

At the dollar store, Kelsey picked up six square mirrors and some faux eucalyptus! To make this seating chart, start by laying out your six mirrors on a sheet of MDF and marking off where you would want your mirror to go.

Once marked, go ahead and cut your MDF to size using a circular saw. Once cut, give your MDF a nice coat of white paint!

The next step is to use some construction adhesive to attach the mirrors to the MDF! Making sure the mirror is smudge free, go ahead and use a combination of a paint marker and white paint to write out your seating chart!

The final step is to add the faux eucalyptus to the corners of the seating chart to finish it off! And that’s it!
